We are well and truly impressed with this year’s submissions to the online Short Film Competition! Ranging from exploration of social issues to questions of loss, using drama or animation, being realistic or surreal – these films will open your eyes to the myriad of experiences and expressions that the people of Africa have to offer.

We received many many more films than we can show here, and coming up with a shortlist of five was extremely difficult. Our commiserations to those who didn’t make it this year 😦

These are the 5 best films submitted to the Digital Short Film Festival – now it is up to you to vote for the one you like best. The winner will receive £100 courtesy of the MMBF Trust!
